On the hottest day ever recorded in the UK, IDHL Group welcomed 13 new starters to the first ever Graduate Training Programme. Talented individuals from various corners of the world came together for a three day event in the blissful air conditioned rooms of The Queens Hotel, Leeds.

With a huge response of over a thousand applicants, the lucky 13 have a great opportunity to join a fast growing business, whose primary focus is investing in new and existing talent. As well as a comprehensive induction, this 12 month specialist digital programme includes monthly development sessions, a dedicated mentor to aid development and tracking reviews for relevant accreditations.

Not only was this a time to come together and learn more about each other and the business, it was also an opportunity to deliver a team building event with a social cause.

Ben Turner, People Director of IDHL, said,

“It's been great to welcome a first cohort of 13 new colleagues onto our new IDHL Group Graduate Programme. It is important to us that we invest in our future workforce to support not only our growth, but the development of the next generation of digital enthusiasts who will be joining our teams across our Search and Web Divisions. We certainly have a talented bunch, not only in their digital skills, but handy with their DIY skills too!”

One of the more fun activities saw them partner with the Children’s Literacy Trust and involved building a bike or two, thankfully the temperature cooled as the activity commenced.

Steven Parsons who works with the Children’s Literacy Trust, commented, “We are currently working closely with some of the many Ukranian families who have fled their own country and come to the UK. Many have arrived with very few possessions, so we are very thankful to have the opportunity to work with IDHL Group and donate the bikes to those children who have so little .”
